Uchechukwu Ruth Utah is a Human Resources professional with over 18 years of experience building people-centred systems across Nigeria’s public and private sectors. She holds a degree in Linguistics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and an MBA, supported by internationally recognised certifications in SHRM-SCP, CPHR, and MCIPM.
Her career has been shaped by a conviction that organisations grow when their people do. As Assistant General Manager, Human Resources at Niger Delta Power Holding Company, Abuja, she led strategic talent management at the senior level of one of Nigeria’s most significant power sector institutions — aligning human capital with organisational purpose.
Currently based in Canada, Uche volunteers as Coordinator at Dress for Success Saskatoon, supporting women’s access to employment and professional development. Her expertise in talent development, organisational effectiveness, and women’s empowerment makes her a natural and valuable presence on the Sheerah Verenda Board.
